During 2009, Simon Berry and Jen Vella acted for WEL Networks in relation to a notice of requirement for a zone substation at Whatawhata. This substation is of fundamental importance to the ongoing security of supply to area west of Hamilton. The NOR was recommended to be confirmed by an independent commissioner and no appeals against WEL’s decision accepting that recommendation were lodged.
